We're looking for a Project Engineer in Conshohocken and Swiftwater, PA who is excited about working on projects that enable the heart of our clients’ business. You’ll be accountable for the coordination of projects including, guidance of all technical design, scheduling and budgetary performance, design quality, and safety. Your multi-discipline, highly interactive team will develop and deliver small- and large-scale capital projects. You'll be responsible to ensure the technical engineering integrity of the project including compliance with the project scope, project specifications, project schedule, overall budget, accepted good engineering practices, and client work processes. Some of your responsibilities will include: • Understand the Engineering Company estimate basis and contractual requirements • Oversee the Engineering Company activity (all disciplines) • Organize collection of existing facility design documentation • Organize project planning field surveys • Coordinate overall Engineering Team interface with the HSE, Maintenance, Procurement, Construction, and C&Q Teams • Manage the review and approval of vendor document submittals by Jacobs & client SMEs • Oversee and support Jacobs review of Subcontractor RFIs and Material Submittal • Working knowledge of project control reporting • Working knowledge of the TIC estimating processes • Oversee, support, and maintain Engineering action items, with priorities constantly updated, for the Project Team Action Items List • Provide support and help maintain project tracking tools such as design evolution, changes, deliverables list, drawings list, etc. through the lifecycle of the project. • Review the Engineering Company cost and schedule progress reports • Oversee technical equipment specifications development and technical bid evaluations to procure equipment • Oversee documentation of Engineering Team Meetings and distribute of meeting minutes • Work with Document Controls to develop, update, and circulate an Engineering and Design document list (GEG 2-002) • Work with Document Controls to track status of Engineering and Design documents • Work with Construction to develop Discipline Narratives for Subcontract Work Scope Packages Other responsibilities for candidate: Phase 1: o Responsible to the Engineering Project Manager for coordinating, directing and scheduling Engineering (all phases). See responsibilities table above. Phase 2: o Responsible to the Construction Manager to assist with Technical coordination with Engineering o Work with Construction to develop Discipline Narratives for Subcontract Work Scope Packages o Technical on site support for Field RFIs, submittals, and technical coordination with design team o Assist with progress measurement of engineering and construction o Oversee Construction Assistance services and reporting of Jacobs Engineering team o Oversee the Jacobs Engineering and Construction teams to develop Record Documents Bring your curiosity, talent for multi-tasking and collaboration, and extreme organizational skills and we’ll help you grow, pursue and fulfill what drives you - so we can make big impacts on the world, together. • Bachelor's degree in an Engineering or related field; or equivalent years of experience in lieu of degree • 2+ years of experience working within the Life Science or directly related industry Ideally, you’ll also have: • Engineering in Training (EIT) desired • Strong communication skills both verbal and written • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills • Forward thinking, eager to learn best practices, and contribute with innovative ideas • Displayed ability to learn quickly and driven to broaden knowledge base • Ability to collaborate and work effectively in a variety of teams, including multi-disciplinary teams #LifeSciences, #Bio/Pharma, #EPCMV, #globallifescience #LI-SH1 Jacobs is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
