Accounts Payable Specialist

Are you an experienced Accounts Payable (AP) Specialist with a background in the construction industry? We have an exciting opportunity to join a well-established, 100% employee-owned company (ESOP) that offers stability, excellent benefits, and opportunities for advancement.

Position Overview:

Reporting to the Controller and Chief Financial Officer (CFO), this role will focus on managing full-cycle accounts payable processes and assisting with construction accounting, including job costing and related responsibilities.

+ Full-cycle AP processing, including vendor management and payment scheduling.

+ Support construction-specific accounting tasks such as job costing, expense tracking, and project accounting.

+ Ensure compliance with financial controls, policies, and procedures.

+ Collaborate with internal departments to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.

+ Assist the Controller with account reconciliations, audits, and other financial tasks as required.

Qualifications:

+ Previous experience in the construction industry is required.

+ Proven track record of success in full-cycle accounts payable processing.

+ Helpful to understand construction accounting principles, including job costing.

+ Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

+ Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.

Requirements

• Proven experience in accounts payable, preferably within the construction industry.

• Familiarity with general accounting principles and practices.

• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

• Ability to work collaboratively with accounting teams and other departments.
