Description

We are looking for a dedicated Accounts Payable Clerk to join our client's team in Saint Paul, Minnesota. This long-term contract position is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys collaborating with vendors to resolve issues effectively.

Responsibilities:

• Process and manage a high volume of invoices efficiently, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.

• Perform coding of invoices and maintain proper documentation for all transactions.

• Conduct regular check runs and reconcile discrepancies to maintain financial integrity.

• Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors to address and resolve payment-related concerns.

• Utilize Workday software to input, track, and manage accounts payable data.

• Collaborate with team members to tackle backlog issues and streamline workflow.

• Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures during invoice processing.

• Assist in the preparation of reports and summaries for the accounting supervisor.

• Provide support during audits by organizing and presenting required financial records.

Requirements • Proven experience in accounts payable or a similar financial role.

• Proficiency in processing invoices and performing check runs.

• Familiarity with Workday software and basic Excel functions.

• Strong problem-solving skills, particularly in resolving vendor-related issues.

• Ability to manage a high volume of transactions while maintaining accuracy.

• Excellent communication skills to foster positive vendor relationships.

• Detail-oriented approach to ensure compliance with financial policies and procedures.

• Capacity to adapt quickly to new systems and workflows during training.
