    Description

    Are you passionate about healthcare interoperability and data exchange? Robert Half Talent Solutions is seeking a skilled HL7 Developer to join a dynamic team focused on transforming how healthcare systems communicate. This is a contract opportunity to work on impactful projects that improve patient care and streamline clinical workflows.

     

    What You’ll Do

     

    + Design, develop, and maintain HL7 interfaces for seamless data exchange between healthcare systems

    + Collaborate with cross-functional teams including clinical, IT, and integration specialists

    + Analyze and troubleshoot HL7 messages (ADT, ORM, ORU, etc.)

    + Implement and support interface engines (e.g., Mirth Connect, Rhapsody, Cloverleaf)

    + Ensure compliance with HIPAA and other healthcare data standards

    + Document interface specifications and provide technical support during implementation

    + Participate in testing, validation, and deployment of HL7 solutions

    Requirements

    + 3+ years of experience in HL7 development and integration

    + Proficiency with HL7 v2.x, and familiarity with FHIR is a plus

    + Experience with interface engines (Mirth, Rhapsody, etc.)

    + Strong understanding of healthcare workflows and EMR/EHR systems

    + Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities

    + Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
