    TIG Welder

    Job Description

    We are seeking a skilled TIG Welder to join our team, specializing in welding stainless steel, aluminum, and cold roll steel. The ideal candidate will be proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints, and capable of performing precise welds within 12 to 22 gauge materials.

    Responsibilities

    + Perform TIG welding on stainless steel, aluminum, and cold roll steel.

    + Read and interpret blueprints accurately to ensure precise welding.

    + Use equipment to maneuver larger metal pieces safely and efficiently.

    + Inspect finished welds for quality and polish welds as necessary.

    + Occasionally perform MIG welding when required, though minimally.

    Essential Skills

    + Proficiency in TIG welding.

    + Experience in reading and interpreting blueprints.

    + Ability to use calipers for precise measurements.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Experience with brake press operations.

    + Skills in metal polishing.

    + Familiarity with laser/turret equipment.

    Work Environment

     

    Our facility is a 63,000 square foot space equipped with the latest fabrication and welding technology, focused on serving various industries including restaurant, medical, telecommunications, and display markets. Employees work in a dynamic environment with first shift hours from 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM and second shift hours from 4:30 PM to 1:00 AM. Training for second shift will be conducted on the first shift, ensuring comprehensive onboarding for all employees.

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of West Chicago, Illinois.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $26.00/hr.
