    Job Title: Maintenance Technician

    Job Description

    This role involves the repair and installation of production and manufacturing equipment. Candidates will work with both older and newer equipment, requiring an understanding of PLCs for troubleshooting purposes. The position demands a balanced experience in both mechanical and electrical maintenance, as well as familiarity with high-speed production equipment.

    Responsibilities

    + Repair and install production/manufacturing equipment.

    + Inspect equipment for proper functioning and perform preventative maintenance duties as per manufacturer's specifications.

    + Diagnose equipment malfunctions and make necessary repairs or adjustments.

    + Troubleshoot PLC errors to minimize equipment downtime.

    + Perform regular preventive maintenance, including cleaning and lubricating shafts, bearings, and gears.

    + Conduct maintenance repair and improvement activities on process line equipment.

    + Dismantle, tear down, take apart, and repair old machinery.

    + Read and interpret blueprints and schematics.

    Essential Skills

    + At least 2 years of experience troubleshooting equipment like Siemens and Rockwell machines.

    + Advanced understanding of AC/AC Electrical systems up to 480VAC 3 Phase.

    + 3-5 years of experience in plant maintenance and high-speed production equipment.

    + Certification from a technical school in relevant areas.

    + Experience in troubleshooting mechanical drive systems, general machine design, and engineering calculations.

    + Knowledgeable in hydraulic, mechanical, and pneumatic repairs and adjustments.

    + Experience with cranes, hoists, saws, power tools, and hand tools.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Experience in welding and fabrication.

    + Familiarity with cooling towers, chillers, furnaces, air compressors, and packaging equipment.

    + Ability to troubleshoot and repair hydraulics and pneumatics.

    + Experience with bearings, AC/DC motors, and the ability to perform plug and pull type repairs.

The company is a leader in the design, engineering, and manufacture of refractory products for high-tech industrial applications. The role involves working mandatory overtime when needed, including weekends. Candidates will train on the first shift from 6am-2pm and then may transition to a shift that suits their schedule.

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $75108.80 - $77188.80/yr.
