    Job Title: Machine Operator – Contract to Hire

    **Location:** Lexington, Virginia

    **Pay Range:** $24–$27/hour

    Shifts Available:

    + **2nd Shift:** 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM (Monday–Friday, occasional Saturdays)

    + **3rd Shift:** 11:00 PM – 7:30 AM (Monday–Friday, occasional Saturdays)

    Position Summary

    We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious **Machine Operator** to join our manufacturing team. This role involves setting up and operating sheet-metal brake presses and tube benders to form metal components in accordance with technical specifications. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of tooling configurations and be able to work with minimal supervision.

    Key Responsibilities

    + Set up and operate sheet metal brake presses and tube-bending equipment

    + Form metal components of varying sizes and materials

    + Interpret part prints and accurately use measuring devices

    + Apply appropriate tooling configurations with limited guidance

    + Maintain strict adherence to safety protocols and procedures

    + Ensure quality and precision in all formed parts

    Required Skills & Qualifications

    + Minimum 1 year of experience in manufacturing, panel wiring, electrical assembly, or a related field

    + Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and measuring instruments

    + Ability to read and interpret schematics and technical drawings

    + Familiarity with electrical codes, wiring standards, and safety procedures

    + Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work

    Preferred Qualifications

    + Experience with pressure testing, leak detection, and chiller systems

    + Knowledge of PLC wiring and troubleshooting

    + Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods

    + Comfortable working in a non-temperature-controlled manufacturing environment

    + Large-scale plant setting

    + Non-temperature-controlled environment

    + Physical demands include prolonged standing/walking, lifting (non-repetitive), and stooping

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $23.53 - $26.14/hr.
