Job Title: Shop Supervisor

Job Description

We are seeking a highly organized and hands-on Shop Supervisor to oversee the daily operations of our shop and grounds. This role is critical to ensuring efficient material handling, accurate inventory control, and timely delivery coordination for construction and roofing projects. The ideal candidate will bring leadership, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to managing logistics and team performance.

Responsibilities

+ Supervise daily activities including inventory control, equipment rentals, small engine repairs, and materials handling for construction projects.

+ Schedule supplier deliveries, manage documentation for incoming/outgoing shipments, and ensure accurate project assignments.

+ Manage staff schedules, enforce safety protocols, and collaborate across departments to meet project deadlines.

+ Optimize loading procedures, resolve operational issues, and maintain strict control over warehouse inventory and material tracking.

Essential Skills

+ Prior experience in a shop management setting.

+ Experience in construction preferred.

+ Valid Driver's License.

+ Skills in forklift operation, warehouse management, sheet metal, roofing, and inventory control.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Experience in construction is preferred but not mandatory.

Work Environment

The work schedule is Monday through Friday from 7:00am to 3:30pm. You will oversee the crew in the shop as well as collaborate with internal staff to ensure deadlines and budgets are met.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $28.00/hr.
