    Position Summary

    We are working with a highly successful and growing manufacturing company that is seeking a Staff Accountant to support the financial closing activities for their business that has multiple entities. The ideal candidate will possess a strong ability to work autonomously, maintain efficiency, and deliver high-quality, accurate results.     Primary Responsibilities

    + Participate in the daily accounting functions and processes to ensure smooth departmental operations.

    + Contribute to the month-end close by preparing and recording journal entries, and fulfilling assigned closing activities.

    + Perform periodic reconciliation of general ledger accounts to maintain accuracy and reliable reporting.

    + Analyze financial data including job costing, prepayments, and variances in the general ledger on a monthly basis.

    + Review and reconcile bank transactions, aligning with data in the Netsuite ERP system.

    + Manage fixed asset records, including creating and maintaining depreciation schedules across all entities for both purchased and in-house assets.

    + Assist with the annual audit by preparing necessary reports and collaborating with external auditors to fulfill information requests.

    + Work closely with team members to identify opportunities for process enhancements and automation—ranging from accounts payable to financial reporting and personnel performance metrics tracking.

    Requirements

    + Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance, with a minimum of 3 years of hands-on accounting experience.

    + Strong understanding of accounting principles (GAAP) and internal audit controls.

    + Advanced analytical skills with solid technical accounting proficiency.

    + Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment while meeting deadlines.

    + Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

    + Commitment to ongoing learning and implementing process improvement strategies.

    + Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.

    + Familiarity with ERP systems implementation is a bonus.
