Job Title: Electrical Assembly Apprentice
Job Description
Join our Electrical Assembly Apprentice Training Academy where you will assist in the mechanical and electrical builds of customer products. This position offers in-depth training on reading and understanding point-to-point wiring schematics and diagrams (480v, 120v, 24v). You will gain hands-on experience with crimping, pulling, terminating, and installing UL panels and sub-assemblies.
Responsibilities
+ Assemble, wire, and test industrial control panels and switchgear systems with a focus on 3-phase power distribution.
+ Pull, crimp, install, and test wiring using point-to-point methods.
+ Utilize tools such as multimeters, wire strippers, crimpers, and torque wrenches.
+ Perform part replacements on tools as needed and according to schedule.
+ Resolve routine questions and problems, referring complex issues to higher levels.
+ Maintain documentation and update panel layouts as needed.
+ Follow manufacturing protocols and lean production principles.
+ Adhere to detailed written or verbal instructions, including visual aids, diagrams, and schematics.
+ Ensure that the assigned area is clean and organized per 5S standards.
+ Comply with all procedures within the company security policy.
+ Coordinate with teammates for tasks requiring multiple team members.
+ Communicate with inventory personnel about spare parts inventory and locations.
Essential Skills
+ Basic electrical wiring or assembly knowledge.
+ Strong initiative to learn a trade through an in-depth training academy.
+ Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
+ Mathematical proficiency in addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
+ Ability to interpret blueprints, graphs, and schematics.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Experience with hand and power tools.
+ Familiarity with electrical testing and electronic assembly.
+ Ability to solder and handle control panel wiring.
+ Experience with industrial and mechanical production.

Work Environment
The work environment is extremely clean and temperature-controlled, consisting of cell stations with large working areas. Teams of 5-7 technicians will collaborate to assemble units per specification. All necessary tools and materials are provided on-site. The training period is conducted in a classroom setting, with a focus on safety, electrical wiring, and standard protocols. The standard hours are from 6:00 am to 2:30 pm, Monday through Friday, for the two-week training period, with potential shift variations post-training. Employees must be open to working Saturdays and overtime is available, with a maximum of 58 work hours per week.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Memphis, Tennessee.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr.
