• Accounting Manager/Supervisor

    Description

    We are looking for an experienced Accounting Manager/Supervisor to lead and support the accounting team in Minneapolis, Minnesota. This role focuses on overseeing daily accounting operations, ensuring accuracy in financial processes, and providing leadership to team members. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, a deep understanding of accounting principles, and a commitment to maintaining high standards of performance.

    Responsibilities:

    • Supervise a team of accounting representatives, including managing schedules, training, performance evaluations, and hiring new staff.

    • Oversee daily accounting tasks, such as posting and reconciling accounts receivable and incoming funds.

    • Process ACH wires, remits, refunds, preference claims, and court cost reimbursements to clients.

    • Perform reconciliation tasks for client accounts, financial exceptions, and manual files.

    • Communicate daily with clients regarding remitted funds through various reporting methods.

    • Collaborate closely with the Accounting Supervisor to provide guidance, development, and support for the team.

    • Lead and manage ongoing and new projects within the Accounting Department.

    • Assist with yearly projects, such as the Unclaimed Property initiative.

    Requirements

    • Minimum of 10 years of experience in accounting or financial management roles.

    • Proficiency in accounting software systems, including ADP, BlackLine, and Concur.

    • Strong knowledge of ERP systems and their applications in accounting processes.

    • Expertise in accounts receivable, accounts payable, and auditing functions.

    • Familiarity with billing operations and financial reconciliation tasks.

    • Demonstrated ability to lead and manage teams effectively.

    • Excellent communication skills for client interactions and internal collaboration.

    • Strong organizational and project management capabilities.
