Description

We are looking for a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our team in St. Charles, Illinois. In this role, you will be responsible for performing a variety of accounting functions, including preparing financial reports, reconciling accounts, and supporting audits. This is an exciting opportunity for a highly organized individual with a strong accounting background to contribute to a dynamic and growing organization.

Responsibilities:

• Manage general accounting tasks, including maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring compliance with accounting standards.

• Prepare monthly financial statements, reports, and schedules with a focus on accuracy and timeliness.

• Reconcile balance sheet accounts and resolve any discrepancies in a timely manner.

• Record monthly journal entries and post intercompany transactions, ensuring proper account balances.

• Perform daily bank reconciliations to maintain accurate financial records.

• Review accounts receivable and oversee collection processes to ensure timely payments.

• Provide necessary documentation and support for external audits during quarterly and annual reviews.

• Participate in quarterly inventory assessments in collaboration with the production team.

• Cross-train with accounts payable functions to serve as a reliable backup when needed.

• Adhere to US accounting standards and company policies to ensure consistency and compliance.

This position offers a salary range of $65,000-$95,000 and comes with a full benefits package including medical, dental, vision insurance, 401k with a match, generous time off policy and holiday pay.

Requirements • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and a minimum of 3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with team members and stakeholders.

• Excellent organizational abilities and a willingness to work in a paperless office setting.

• Knowledge of ASC 606 Revenue Recognition standards and experience applying unearned revenue principles.

• Proficiency in cost accounting and a solid understanding of related processes.

• Familiarity with US accounting standards and the ability to implement them effectively.

• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and experience with Sage 100 accounting software.

• Strong attention to detail and the ability to handle multiple tasks in a deadline-driven environment.
