Job Title: CNC Machinist - Level 3
Job Description
We are seeking a skilled CNC Machinist - Level 3 to operate CNC mills and lathes, perform tool changes, program offsets, and conduct quality inspections using micrometers and calipers. The role involves executing preventative maintenance on machines to ensure optimal performance.
Responsibilities
+ Operate CNC mills and lathes efficiently.
+ Perform tool changes and program offsets.
+ Conduct quality inspections using micrometers and calipers.
+ Carry out preventive maintenance on CNC machines.
+ Coordinate workload across multiple machine CNC cells.
+ Perform regular equipment cleaning and light maintenance tasks for lubricants and coolant.
+ Recognize, deploy, and properly use work holding, precision tooling, and inserts.
+ Make machine adjustments and perform tool wear offsets independently.
+ Interpret quality requirements and use gauges to meet tolerance requirements.
+ Participate actively in continuous improvement culture, including lean initiatives.
+ Load and unload raw materials in CNC machinery safely.
+ Respond to machine malfunctions and adhere to safety operating procedures.
+ Maintain part specifications through various machining operations.
+ Use precision gauges and instruments to ensure part quality.
+ Read inspection documents, record irregularity findings, and perform unassisted tool wear offsets.
+ Use hand tools for deburring as required.
Essential Skills
+ 3+ years of CNC operating experience.
+ 2+ years of experience with offsets and tool changes.
+ 2+ years of experience in making edits.
+ Proficiency in blueprint reading.
+ Experience with micrometers and calipers.
+ Ability to perform repetitive work and coordinate workload efficiently.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Experience with Fanuc controllers, grinders, and drill presses.
+ Proficiency in troubleshooting and using measuring tools.
+ Experience in a machine shop environment.

Work Environment
Work on the 2nd shift from Monday to Thursday, 3:45 pm to 2:15 am. The dress code includes steel-toed shoes and allows for shorts in the summer, along with relatively plain t-shirts or sweatshirts.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Racine, Wisconsin.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $31.00/hr.
