**Position** **:** Cable & Wire Assembler

**Location** **:** Fairfield, New Jersey

**Shifts** **:** 7:00am-5:30pm (Monday-Thursday) , Fridays and the Weekends Off

**Pay** **:** $21.00/hour ; Overtime: $31.50/hour

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Cable Assembler to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for assembling cable harnesses by following assembly drawings and performing various cable harnessing activities. This role requires programming and operating assembly machines, ensuring quality assurance, and participating in Lean manufacturing activities.

Responsibilities

• Assembles components in accordance with drawings and operation sheets.

• Responsible for weighing, loading and pressing operations.

• Handle tooling and fixtures / use various hand tools to produce or modify parts.

• Maintains count and order progress and logs in time / quantities.

• Closes and assembles units (use of crimping and closure tools and epoxy applications).

• Soldering tasks, i.e. small wire soldering, terminal soldering, bridge wire welding.

• Assists with the packaging of pyrotechnic assemblies where required.

• Follows required company safety practices and quality procedures.

• Physical activity includes lifting up to 50lbs.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in manufacturing, assembly, or other related fields- minimum 1 year

• Familiarity with assembly tools and equipment

• Ability to handle physical workload

• Ability to work well in teams

• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $21.00/hr.
