Job Title: Receiving Lead

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and driven Receiving Lead for our 1st shift, working from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM with a 30-minute lunch break. This position is not limited to receiving duties alone but will evolve to include shipping and backup responsibilities for the shipping manager role. You will be part of a department that includes a Shipping Manager, two inventory personnel, and one receiving staff. This is an excellent opportunity to grow and learn about shipping, receiving, and inventory management.

Responsibilities

+ Receive incoming products and ensure the accuracy of shipments by opening and verifying contents.

+ Collaborate with sales to confirm the accuracy of shipments coming in and going out.

+ Manage data entry and product tracking using computer systems, including ERP.

+ Operate both sit-down and stand-up forklifts to move products within the warehouse.

+ Assist in inventory management and control, including cycle counts.

Essential Skills

+ Minimum of 5 years of experience in a shipping role.

+ Experience with ERP systems.

+ Proficiency in Excel and Microsoft Office Suite.

+ Hi-Lo (forklift) operation experience.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Experience with older ERP systems such as SAP and ShipEx.

+ Strong computer skills, including data entry.

Work Environment

The work environment consists of a warehouse setting with both sit-down and stand-up forklifts available for use. The position is a day shift role and involves computer-based tasks, including ERP system management, requiring proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other office software.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Hastings, Michigan.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $30.00/hr.
