    Job Title: Fleet Mechanic

    Job Description

    As a Fleet Mechanic, you will perform mechanical repairs and preventative maintenance on company fleet vehicles. You will ensure compliance with DOT and OSHA regulations, focusing on medium and heavy-duty diesel tractor and trailer maintenance and repair.

    Responsibilities

    + Troubleshoot, diagnose, and complete repairs on all types of vehicles.

    + Perform preventative maintenance within the fleet department.

    + Respond to service calls as required.

    + Create work orders in SAP and ensure working times and tasks are logged into the computer as well as stock parts pulled from inventory.

    + Maintain tools and clean up the work area before the end of the shift.

    + Participate in and adhere to required safety training.

    + Support departments by communicating out-of-service vehicles and downtimes.

    Essential Skills

    + Experience in diesel fleet maintenance, preventive maintenance, diesel engine repair, and troubleshooting.

    + Ability to diagnose and repair airbrake systems and diesel engines.

    + Strong mechanical and technical aptitude.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Knowledge of airbrake and electrical systems and components preferred.

    + Valid CDL Class A Driver's License preferred.

    + Experience using a pallet jack or forklift preferred.

    + Ability to obtain PIT (Powered Industrial Truck) certification upon hire.

    + May be required to supply automotive hand tools.

    Work Environment

     

    Work in a diesel truck shop environment that's attached to a warehouse. The position is available on the second shift from 2:00 pm to 10:00 pm, Monday through Friday, with two technicians on each shift.

    This is a Permanent position based out of Lenexa, Kansas.

    The pay range for this position is $60320.00 - $70720.00/yr.
