Job Title: Carpenter

Job Description

Join a leading provider of high-quality architectural precast components, where you will be instrumental in producing architectural panels, custom fabrication, and site furnishings. We are seeking a dedicated Carpenter to join our production team, contributing to our reputation for excellence in the industry.

Responsibilities

+ Work under the direct supervision of a crew leader to learn and develop basic skills, such as setting up and oiling forms, measuring surfaces and panels, laying mesh, and tying reinforcing bars and steel.

+ Set inserts and perform tasks like striking off, stripping forms, and cleaning up.

+ Consistently improve work performance utilizing learned skills.

+ Take initiative to stay involved in productive work throughout the workday, either by contributing to the fabrication of precast concrete products or by notifying the Crew Leader of readiness for additional tasks.

+ Regularly attend work on time as per company policy.

+ Demonstrate loyalty to the company and mutual respect for colleagues.

+ Function effectively as a team player, seeking ways to enhance work processes.

+ Maintain plant safety in accordance with safety guidelines and instructions from the Safety Coordinator.

Essential Skills

+ Proficiency in using hand tools and concrete tools.

+ Experience in assembly, cleaning, framing, drywall, installation, and general labor.

+ Ability to build and assemble panels.

+ Skilled in using a tape measure and understanding construction, commercial construction, and rough carpentry.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ 1+ year of previous concrete experience.

+ Ability to work on your feet for 50+ hours a week.

+ Ability to consistently produce a quality product.

+ Capability to apply basic concepts of geometry.

Work Environment

The role involves working in an industrial environment, sometimes exposed to the elements when retrieving materials or panels. Expect a dusty and dirty setting, interacting with heavy equipment, and collaborating with approximately 20 other panel builders.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Corsicana, Texas.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr.
