    The Senior Manager, U.S. Events & Meetings Consultant Engagements role drives business-centric partnerships and collaborates with key leaders and operational teams within Compliance, Legal, Risk Operations, IT, US Medical and Commercial stakeholders, and global partners. This role manages the end-to-end strategic engagement planning and execution of Consultant Engagements, including tiering, FMV, contracting, logistics, payments, transparency reporting, risk management, and ensures compliance with consultant engagement processes across BMS. The position drives performance excellence and continuous improvement for Consultant Engagements, aligning to business priorities and delivering best-in-class HCP customer engagements.

    Major Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

    Strategic Thinking and Planning

    + Create business impact by combining a deep understanding of healthcare trends with an enterprise-wide perspective to identify strategic opportunities for breakthrough performance.

    + Influence senior leaders and partner with US Medical/Commercial business stakeholders to strategize and guide best-in-class HCP customer engagement.

    + Oversee and manage budget to ensure optimal and effective utilization of resources.

    + Drive effective business partnership between Events & Meetings team and US teams in strategy development, investment decision making, and tactical planning for HCP/Consultant Programs.

    + Lead the matrix team of key stakeholders to drive effective execution of Consultant Engagements.

    + Drive a culture of continuous improvement and innovation across all processes and systems used for Consultant Engagements.

    + Establish and deliver key metrics on Consultant Engagements to Business Partners.

    + Consistently foster and embrace an environment in which all individuals embrace a Speak My Mind and growth mindset culture.

    + Potential to manage direct reports.

     

    Execution Excellence

    Provide guidance and coaching, and assume accountability for the following in terms of consultant engagement execution:

    + HCP/Consultant communication and contracting

    + Consultant Engagement event logistics planning and leadership

    + Processes and systems

    + Vendor management

    + Issue identification and resolution

    + Transparency and compliance

    + Continuous improvements

    Qualifications

    Minimum Requirements

    + Minimum education of a BA/BS degree is required; Master's degree/MBA preferred.

    + Minimum of five (5) years of professional work experience in medical, commercial, business operations, and/or related functions; experience within the healthcare industry is strongly preferred.

    + Demonstrated capability serving in team leader roles with ability to work effectively in BMS matrix culture.

    + Acute business acumen and understanding of Consultant Engagement landscape from an industry/market perspective.

    + Strong affinity for engaging with medical and commercial stakeholders to understand and address their needs, considering varying perspectives, opinions, and viewpoints with a focus on the optimum business outcome.

    + Strategic experience developing and executing Consultant Engagements with HCPs and attendee groups; tactical experience with program and engagement implementation.

    + Demonstrated ability to communicate complex information, process requirements, and other information with confidence and consideration of varying aptitudes of audience, clients, and matrix team members.

    + Demonstrated leadership creating and managing complex project plans with on-time delivery of results, solutions, and/or work product.

    + Proven ability to solve problems, including root cause identification, engaging the matrix team in solution options, and driving optimum problem resolution.

    + Unwavering ability to maintain confidentiality and confidential information.

    + Software Proficiency: Must be able to use independently: Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Co-Pilot), Veeva Event Management, Vendor Contracting System, Ariba, SAP, Workfront, Icertis, Compass, Microsoft Office Suite.

    + Travel Required: Nature and frequency: 10-20% domestic travel.

    Compensation Overview:

    Princeton - NJ - US: $122,150 - $148,011

     

    The starting compensation range(s) for this role are listed above for a full-time employee (FTE) basis. Additional incentive cash and stock opportunities (based on eligibility) may be available. The starting pay rate takes into account characteristics of the job, such as required skills, where the job is performed, the employee's work schedule, job-related knowledge, and experience. Final, individual compensation will be decided based on demonstrated experience.

    BMS has an occupancy structure that determines where an employee is required to conduct their work. This structure includes site-essential, site-by-design, field-based and remote-by-design jobs.     Site-essential roles require 100% of shifts onsite at your assigned facility. Site-by-design roles may be eligible for a hybrid work model with at least 50% onsite at your assigned facility.
