• Mental Health Technician

    UHS (Binghamton, NY)


    Position OverviewProvides direct patient care related to biopsychosocial rehabilitation of the patient in the Behavioral Health setting. Activities include direct patient care as related to environment of care, safety issues, therapeutic communication and co-facilitation of groups. Utilizes effective communication skills.

    Primary Department, Division, or Unit:

    Krembs 5 Psychiatric, UHS Binghamton General Hospital

    Work Shift and Schedule:

    This is a per diem position, which means you will work on an as needed, agreed upon basis. Working hours will be assigned by your manager.

    Compensation Range:

    $19.37 - $28.09 per hour, depending on experience

     

    This position is not eligible for benefits.

    Education/Experience

    Minimum Required:

    + Associate’s Degree in Applied Science in Human Services or 4 years of experience in a Mental Health related field or inpatient hospital setting and completion of Abnormal Psych within 2 years of hire.

    Preferred:

    + Bachelor’s degree in area with Human Service Focus
