As a National Sales Representative, you will play a pivotal role in driving ATS’ growth by establishing and developing shipper relationships while building your own book of business. As the primary direct contact with ATS Logistics customers, the National Sales Representative is responsible for finding customers, negotiating prices for shipments and managing those shipments successfully with our in-house operations team. The ideal candidate for this position is a goal-oriented team player with a drive to excel in a fast-paced environment. The ATS National Sales Representative position offers a promotional career path for representatives to advance.
Education and Experience
1. Higher education (two- or four-year degree) preferred but not required.
2. One or more year(s) of experience B2B sales preferred.
3. A firm understanding of sales processes, and customer service principles.
4. Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and the internet (social media, internet databases and research tools).
5. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
6. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with a metrics and results driven approach.

8. Excellent time management and organizational skills.
9. Hard worker with a drive for results who can persevere in the face of resistance or setbacks.

12. Willing and able to travel occasionally, including overnight travel.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
1. Implement ATS sales strategies and align efforts to achieve sales results in support of department goals.
2. Interface with internal Operations team, Key Accounts Representatives, and management to ensure customer needs are met.
3. Build a robust sales pipeline by utilizing ATS systems to identify high potential leads and opportunities.
4. Use a consultative sales process to build long-term relationships with customers and utilize product and service knowledge to articulate ATS’s value proposition to customers.
5. Work with assigned sales team manager to provide data-drive quotes, coordinate proposals and bids throughout the process to create positive outcomes both ATS and the customer.
6. Negotiate with customers, while recording and updating ATS internal CRM regularly with up-to-date customer information, trends and agreements.
7. Prospect, plan, open the call, determine the decision maker, present the value proposition, close the sale, and effectively manage objections.
8. Close new business, meet new customer generation goals while maintaining current accounts. Negotiate and quote rates with customers, entering and recording all terms and conditions of shipment agreements.
9. Evaluate and maintain internal and external shipping data to ensure accuracy, proper record keeping, and forecasting.
10. Coordinate and meet regularly with new and existing customers via video sales conferencing tools.
11. Speak clearly and persuasively in positive or negative situations; listen and get clarification; respond effectively to questions; write clearly and informatively; able to read and interpret written information.
12. Assist with developing new customer facing material as a subject matter expert to establish and maintain productive relationships with prospective customers.
13. Balance team and individual responsibilities; give and welcome feedback; actively participate in training with other employees to contribute to building a positive team spirit.

15. Position may require work responsibilities outside of normal business hours, and infrequent travel may be required.
