    Responsibilities

    **Summary:** We are proud to announce the establishment of a state-of-the-art Li-ion battery factory, set amidst the beautiful Kansas City Metro. This groundbreaking green-field factory will serve as a pioneering hub for innovation in sustainable energy solutions.

We are seeking dedicated individuals to join us as full-time, on-site team members at our new, state-of-the-art factory located in the thriving city of DeSoto, Kansas.

     

    **Position Summary:** PECNA is seeking a Facilities Reliability Technician Lead – Level 6 to ensure our manufacturing areas meet the highest standards for producing lithium-ion cells by leading predictive maintenance, troubleshooting and repairing systems, analyzing and improving reliability, optimizing facility systems, and ensuring safety and compliance, while collaborating with various teams and maintaining detailed documentation.

    Essential Duties:

    Functional Operations:

    + Perform scheduled predictive maintenance on mechanical, electrical, HVAC, and plumbing systems to ensure reliability and maximize equipment lifespan.

    + Diagnose and repair system failures, performing necessary adjustments, part replacements, and post-repair testing for performance and safety.

    + Apply advanced maintenance tools and techniques, including vibration analysis, infrared thermography, and oil analysis, to detect and resolve issues proactively.

    + Operate and maintain tools, machinery, and equipment within assigned areas in accordance with manufacturer specifications and company standards.

    + Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and equipment manuals to identify components, fault areas, and maintenance needs.

    Performance Optimization & Continuous Improvement:

    + Analyze maintenance data and performance metrics to identify recurring issues and recommend corrective actions to reduce unplanned downtime.

    + Lead or support projects that improve system reliability and efficiency, including the implementation of predictive maintenance strategies and optimization of spare parts inventory.

    + Evaluate maintenance processes and recommend procedural improvements to enhance energy efficiency, equipment life, and operational consistency.

    + Support process optimization initiatives by providing technical insights and participating in root cause analysis of recurring issues.

    Training & Team Support:

    + Demonstrate working knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems, including but not limited to:o Compressed Airo Electrical and High-Pressure Compressed Airo Exhausto Dry Airo Dust Collectiono Process Vacuumo Nitrogeno Deionized Watero Process Cooling Watero Hot Reverse Osmosis Watero NMP and Electrolyteo HVACo Industrial Mechanical Systems

    + Train, coach, and mentor less experienced technicians in maintenance procedures, safety standards, and system operations.

    + Act as the primary point of contact for assigned maintenance activities and escalate complex issues to supervisors as needed.

    + Foster a collaborative, accountable, and safety-conscious team culture focused on precision and reliability.

    + Note: This role does not have authority to hire, transfer, suspend, lay off, recall, promote, discharge, reward, or discipline other employees.

    Cross-Functional Collaboration & Communication:

    + Collaborate with facility managers, engineers, vendors, and contractors to troubleshoot system issues and implement technical solutions.

    + Communicate maintenance findings, project updates, and system performance reports clearly and accurately to management and relevant departments.

    + Participate in cross-functional initiatives to enhance process flow, reliability, and overall plant performance.

    + Support effective coordination across teams to ensure timely resolution of equipment issues and minimal operational disruption.

    Quality, Safety, & Compliance:

    + Ensure all maintenance activities adhere to OSHA, environmental, and internal safety standards.

    + Maintain detailed maintenance records, logs, and reports through CMMS and Microsoft Office applications.

    + Draft, review, and follow Maintenance Operating Procedures (MOP) and Job Safety Analyses (JSA) to ensure procedural consistency and safety compliance.

    + Support 6S and cleanliness initiatives to maintain an organized and hazard-free work environment.

    + Participate in continuous improvement efforts related to quality, safety, and operational effectiveness.

    + Maintain flexibility to work all scheduled shifts and respond to emergent maintenance requirements as needed.

    Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) Requirements:

    + To ensure the health and safety in the workplace and for the protection of our employees, wearing PPE is a requirement for some roles at PECNA and may include equipment such as a full Tyvek suit, safety shoes, gloves, safety glasses, face mask, bump cap, and a full hazmat suit that includes a respirator. Respirator fit test will be required based on functional area.

    Qualifications: Requirements - Required and/or Preferred

    Education

    + Required: High school diploma, GED or 2 years of prior experience in functional area

    + Preferred: Related Trade school/vocational graduate; 2 years of trade school or equivalent

    Essential Qualifications

    + Minimum of 5 years of related work experience

    + Ability to use predictive maintenance diagnostic tools and software for troubleshooting.

    + Hands-on experience with preventative maintenance, predictive forecasting, and repair of mechanical and electrical systems.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    + 10+ years of related work experience; industrial manufacturing facilities

    + Experience with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).

    + Knowledge of OSHA regulations and workplace safety standards.

    + Familiarity with building management systems (BMS).

    + Must have proficiency in more than one mechanical/technical construction trade: Electrical, Plumbing and Pipefitting, Boiler Maker, HVAC Journeyman/Mechanic.

    + Previous working experience with predictive maintenance tool/systems and their implementation in OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness).

    + Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).

    Preferred License(s):

    + PIT License

    + MEWP

    + State Issued Driver’s License

    Preferred Certification(s):

    + CMRP (Certified Maintenance & Reliability Professional)

    + CPR Certification

    + NFPA70E

    + OSHA 10 or 30

    + HAZWOPER 8 or 40
