Salary Range: $21.00 - $25.41 Hourly
The Warehouse Associate will operate a forklift and overhead crane in our distribution center and pick orders using the voice-picking system. The associate will also assist with shipping and receiving, unloading trucks, and checking in merchandise, among other duties.
Summary:
Responsible for acting in accordance with the policies outlined in the current procedures manual. Receives, stores, and distributes materials, tools, equipment, and products within Parksite Warehouse by performing the following duties:
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned:
+ Pull slabs from the warehouse from the slab orders as directed by Voice
+ Move slabs to loading areas by using an overhead crane (per facility)
+ Load slabs on customer’s vehicle/truck
+ Ensure that product is well secured on vehicle/truck and takes all necessary safety measures
+ Unload slabs from containers using a forklift or overhead crane
+ Arrange slabs properly by forklift/crane in designated areas
+ Responsible for maintaining the slab warehouse clean and safe for staff and customers
+ Assists with shipping and receiving, unloading trucks, checking in merchandise, matching purchase orders to sales orders, and distributing to appropriate associates for processing.
+ Reads customer orders, work orders, shipping orders, or requisitions to determine items to be picked, checked, and shipped.
+ SKU labels new inbound items and moves them from receiving to storage areas.
+ Sorts and places materials or items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, style, color, or product code.
+ Pick orders using VoCollect, the leader in voice-selecting technology.
+ Ensures the warehouse is accessible and safe for salespeople and customer traffic.
+ Assembles customer orders from stock and places orders on pallets.
+ Maintains a clean, well-organized, safe working environment.
+ Records amounts of materials or items received or distributed via appropriate process.
+ Assists in counting physical inventory and conducting regular cycle counts.
+ May be assigned facilities maintenance duties as needed, including sweeping, dusting, and mopping.
+ Prepares parcels for mailing or FedEx delivery.
+ Utilizes proper safety and personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
+ Performs additional duties as required and or requested.
Education and/or Experience:
+ High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred
+ Three months or more related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.
+ Forklift, crane, and warehouse experience preferred
+ Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
+ Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
+ Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
+ Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percentage.
+ Voice picking experience a plus.
+ Lumber/Building product experience.
+ Receiving experience.
+ Inventory control experience.
