Overview Reporting to the Assistant Director of Supply Chain, the Supervisor, Distribution Operations coordinates and manages job functions performed in a 24/7, 365 environment. In alignment with the Assistant Director of Supply Chain, the incumbent will be responsible for establishing strategic direction, planning, organizing, controlling and supervising daily activities to achieve performance goals and metrics. This role will lead the Distribution day to day operational functions of the department. The role is responsible for overseeing the design, implementation, performance monitoring and management of service operations, quality improvement and compliance in partnership with clinical leadership. Responsibilities + Oversees the management of inventory levels and the movement of materials throughout the health system, and works closely with Logistics department ensuring that supplies are delivered when needed. + Manages job functions performed by Distribution, Overnight Receiving, and Par Management Teams. + Engages with clinical leadership to maintain appropriate supply levels throughout the health system. Actively participates in LEAN initiatives to identify opportunities for improvement supported by data and input from clinical departments concerning their needs and clinical requirements. + Develops budget and evaluates performance, noting and making plans to address variances. Qualifications + Bachelor's Degree and 1-2 years experience Distribution, Inventory Control, Warehouse Management + HS diploma or equivalent Experience in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or Warehouse Management would be considered a plus. and 3-5 years experience Distribution, Inventory Control, Warehouse Management + Certified Maintenance & Reliability Professional (CMRP) Preferred + Six Sigma Black Belt Preferred Benefits at Children's Mercy The benefits plans at Children’s Mercy are one of many reasons we are recognized as one of the best places to work in Kansas City. The pay range for this job begins at $26.30/hr, but your offer will be determined based on your education and experience.
