    Job Title: Accounts Payable SpecialistJob Description

     

    As an Accounts Payable Specialist, you will be responsible for balancing and reconciling batch control totals with source documents or computer listings to locate errors, encode correct amounts, or prepare correction records. You will also prepare itemized statements, bills, or invoices, and record amounts due for items purchased or services rendered, as well as reconcile and post receipts for cash received by various departments.

    Responsibilities

    + Balance and reconcile batch control totals with source documents or computer listings.

    + Prepare itemized statements, bills, or invoices and record amounts due.

    + Reconcile and post receipts for cash received by various departments.

    + Perform bookkeeping work, including posting data and maintaining records concerning costs and shipments.

    + Compute payroll and retirement amounts, applying knowledge of payroll deductions, actuarial tables, disability factors, and survivor benefits.

    + Maintain ledgers and registers, posting charges and refunds to individual funds, and compute and verify balances.

    + Knowledge of federal, state, and company policies, procedures, and regulations related to accounting

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Previous experience with computer applications such as Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

    + High school diploma or GED required

    + Associate's degree in accounting or related financial discipline preferred

    + 5-7 years of financial and/or accounting experience required

    The position is located in a spacious office conveniently situated near the highway in Naperville, offering a campus-like atmosphere. The dress code is business casual, creating a professional yet comfortable environment.

    This is a Contract position based out of Naperville, Illinois.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $26.00/hr.
