Job Description:

Maintenance Intern

Full or part time

(Minimum of 12 hours per week required to participate)

**Summary:** The individual will report to the maintenance supervisor and will be given introductory maintenance tasks to perform including, but not limited to the following:

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

+ Help current maintenance team members with troubleshooting and repairing mechanical and/or electrical issues with equipment

+ Stock and organize maintenance spare parts inventory

+ Clean and maintain facility infrastructure equipment including air compressors, boilers, and waste stream equipment

+ Assist with installation and/or removal of equipment

+ Install basic facility fixtures or items: paper towel holders, toiler paper holders, shelves, light bulbs, etc.

+ Install electrical equipment in new panels and complete wiring according to instructions from an engineer or technician

+ Basic wiping down, mopping, cleaning of equipment and maintenance areas

+ Changing filters on equipment

+ Completing safety checks/inspections as required by our certifications for ISO and IATF

+ Other duties as assigned

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

+ Education and/or Experience: Currently enrolled in a maintenance or engineering related educational program

+ Mathematical Skills: Ability to calculate basic math skills (addition, subtraction, etc.,). Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

+ Reasoning Ability: Ability to define and troubleshoot problems with manufacturing equipment.
