    As a **Senior Finance Manager - CISO** supporting the Investment Strategy team within the Commercial Products and Infrastructure (CPI) Finance organization, you will play a pivotal role in advancing Microsoft’s cybersecurity priorities—one of the most critical areas for our company and customers in today’s digital landscape. In this role, you will partner closely with the Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) and leadership team to provide financial insights and decision support, while owning financial accountability for strategic investments that secure technology platforms, devices, clouds, and AI across diverse environments. You will analyze business performance, develop plans, and drive efficient resource allocation aligned with engineering priorities, understand key business drivers and KPIs to guide investment decisions, and create streamlined financial processes that enable agility and transparency. Acting as a trusted finance advisor to engineering leaders, you will navigate complexity and ambiguity with a growth mindset, continuously align investments and costs with a prioritized product roadmap, and deliver measurable impact.     Partnership

    + Strengthen trusted partnerships to drive business outcomes by focusing on solutions that optimize resource allocation and enhance operational efficiency.

    + Develop frameworks that provide deeper insight into resource allocation, including key drivers and KPIs, to safeguard Microsoft and its product platforms (Azure, M365, etc.), while supporting cross-engineering strategic security initiatives.

    + Provide timely business insights and track execution progress of approved investments, ensuring accountability among leaders and stakeholders.

    + Translate complex data, ambiguous trends, and long-term projections into actionable strategies that inform decision-making.

    + Apply a comprehensive understanding of Microsoft’s broader context and market trends to deliver impactful solutions aligned with business goals.

    Prioritization

    + Deliver actionable insights on business health to stakeholders, driving results through performance management, forecast accuracy, and collaboration with business leaders.

    + Manage and execute core business and finance rhythms, including Close, Forecasts, and regular reviews for R&D expenditure, headcount, and other investments, ensuring clear and concise communication.

    + Proactively identify risks and opportunities to support strategic decision-making.

    + Lead planning and budgeting processes in partnership with senior engineering leaders and stakeholders, disseminating targets and budgets while maintaining methodological consistency.

    + Innovate financial data collection and evaluation methods to influence future decisions, recognizing data interconnections and translating them into proactive narratives and forecasts.

    + Use creative data presentations to support decision-making and clearly articulate conclusions

    Qualifications

    Required/minimum qualifications

    + Master's Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Science or related field AND 2+ years experience in financial analysis, accounting, controllership or finance, or related field OR Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Science or related field AND 4+ years experience in financial analysis, accounting, controllership or finance, or related field OR equivalent experience.

    + 5+ year(s) demonstrated track record in controllership, delivering accurate financial reporting, ensuring compliance, and driving process improvements.

     

    Financial Analysis IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $96,500 - $188,400 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $123,500 - $206,400 per year.
