We are looking to hire a **Security Technology Consultant** to join Microsoft Federal.

Responsibilities
Technical Delivery
+ Leads meetings with customers/partners to understand business needs. Uses business, industry, and technology strategies to map customer/partner requirements to the adoption and optimization of Microsoft technology solutions. Engages others appropriately to understand and define customer requirements.
+ Implements solutions and provides oversight and leadership on workstreams across domains while adhering to Industry Solutions processes. Aligns solutions with the intent of the architecture. Manages escalations, analyzes situations, and coordinatesappropriate resourcesto resolve issues by following delivery practices, considering cost implications, and engaging in conversations with internal and external stakeholders (e.g., Customer Service and Support, Project Manager, Solution Architect, Product Group) as needed.
+ Proactively manages executive-level customer/partner/stakeholder relationships toidentifyand contribute to the drivers of satisfaction and dissatisfaction,determinethe root cause, andestablishrecovery actions to improve the experience. Works withaccountteam to ensure One Microsoft approach. Shares lessons learned withworkgroupand consultant community.
+ Participates in project planning and develops project documents byidentifyingthe risks and dependencies. Communicates the business value of planned solutions to customers/partners.Identifiestechnical and business risks in programs and proposes mitigations.Assistsproject managers/architects in preparing for steering committee (e.g., developing artifacts). Manages their schedule and communicates with project leads. Generates and delivers Work Breakdown Structure (WBS).
Intellectual Property Management
+ Acts as an ambassador in the consumption of intellectual property (IP) byleveragingand/ormodifyingexisting IP or creating repeatable content where applicable. Provides feedback on Managed IP for continuous improvement,reportsIP gaps, reviews IP to be considered for harvesting and curation and ensures it is logged for consumption. Improves Industry Solutionsofferingsquality and collaborates with portfolio and solution teams by providing feedback.
Readiness
+ Learnsnew technologiesor services based on business demands and industry trends. Obtains relevant accreditations and certification(s) asadvisedbydomainleadership team.Identifiescertifications and readiness plans in partnership withWorld WideLearning. Leads orparticipatesin relevant technical communities and conducts training sessions to evangelize technology and/or offerings based on availability. Mentors team members andactsas a technical advisor for stakeholders by providing thought leadership, articulation of solutions value, and outcomes of business strategies.
Operational Excellence
+ Completes operational tasks and readiness and ensures timeliness and accuracy.FollowsMicrosoft policies, compliance, and procedures (e.g., Enterprise Services Authorization Policy, Standards of Business Conduct, labor logging, expenses, travel guidelines). Leads by example and guides team members on operational tasks, readiness, and compliance.
Business Development
+ Identifiesopportunities to expand or accelerate the adoption and consumption of cloud and Microsoft technologies. Facilitates, asappropriate, other team members to scale the business with existing customers by articulating value propositions of strategic Microsoft products and services and developing new offerings for the domain. Drives innovation and digital transformation. Ensures the use ofthe existingintellectual property (IP).
Pre-Sales Support
+ Collaborates with internal stakeholders (e.g., Solution Architect, Pursuit Lead, Consulting Account Executive) in the pre-sale process by understanding business requirements and providing industry and technical input and/or solution offerings to help shape the deal. Supports drafting proposals and/orstatementof work (SOW).Provides input on staffing and skill requirements for delivery to Resource Deployment, Technical Delivery Managers (TDMs), and/or Project Managers.

Qualifications
Required/minimum qualifications:
+ Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, or related field AND 1+ year(s) work experience in relevantindustry
+ OR equivalent experience.
Other Requirements:
Security Clearance Requirements: Candidates must be able to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:
+ Candidates must have an active TS and be willing to upgrade to TS/SCI (with polygraph) or have an active TS/SCI and be willing to upgrade to TS/SCI (with polygraph). This role will require candidates to maintain the TS/SCI (with polygraph) clearance. Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. Failure to maintain or obtain the appropriate clearance and/or customer screening requirements may result in employment action up to and including termination.
+ **Clearance Verification** : This position requires successful verification of the stated security clearance to meet federal government customer requirements. You will be asked to provide clearance verification information prior to an offer of employment.
+ **Microsoft Cloud Background Check** : This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
+ **Citizenship & Citizenship Verification:** This position requires verification of U.S. citizenship due to citizenship-based legal restrictions. Specifically, this position supports United States federal, state, and/or local United States government agency customer and is subject to certain citizenship-based restrictions where required or permitted by applicable law. To meet this legal requirement, citizenship will be verified via a valid passport, or other approved documents, or verified US government Clearance
Preferred/Additional Qualifications:
+ 3+yearswork experience in relevantareaof business.
+ Demonstrable knowledge and experience withAzure and one or morecore MicrosoftSecurityor security-relatedtechnologyareas(Azure, Defender,Sentinel,Purview, ADX,etc.)
+ Technical certifications based on domain/serviceline(e.g., Azure, Security, etc.).
Technology Consulting IC3 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $76,200 - $154,400 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $99,700 - $167,300 per year.
