    VCA Arboretum View Animal Hospital is expanding our General Practice/Primary Care team and is looking for a **full-time Veterinary Technician** . We care for a wide variety of patients, including dogs, cats, and **exotics** , so your diverse skills will be put to great use!

     

    **Schedule:** Full-time opportunity

    **Compensation:** $20–$30/hr (based on skill set, license, and years of experience).

    About the Role:

    Whether you are a seasoned Veterinary Technician or a recent graduate, we value the knowledge and dedication you bring. In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

     

    + Collect patient histories and perform thorough physical exams

    + Place IV catheters and perform venipuncture

    + Prepare patients for surgery, monitor anesthesia, and provide postoperative care

    + Perform dentals and dental radiographs

    + Maintain accurate patient records

    + Educate and communicate with clients effectively

    + Assist with diagnostic imaging, laboratory tests, and other diagnostic procedures

    + Administer medications, vaccinations, and other prescribed treatments

    + Collaborate with veterinarians, fellow veterinary technicians, and support staff to ensure excellent patient care

    + Participate in team meetings and ongoing training

    + Care for a variety of patients, including **exotics**
