    IT Deployment Technician

    Overview:

    A large-scale hardware deployment project is underway at a major enterprise site in Malta, NY, involving over 4,500 units. The rollout is driven by end-user scheduling and is entering a new phase requiring additional on-site support. This role offers 40 hours per week for at least 6 months, with strong potential for extension.

    Responsibilities:

    + Perform end-user hardware deployments, including imaging, configuration, and installation of laptops and desktops

    + Troubleshoot Windows-based systems (Win10 and Win7) and resolve hardware/software issues

    + Maintain accurate asset tracking and inventory records

    + Provide responsive desktop support and customer service during deployment activities

    + Collaborate with project leads to ensure smooth execution of deployment schedules

    Required Skills:

    + Windows 10 deployment and configuration

    + Hardware installation and troubleshooting

    + Imaging and setup of devices

    + Asset management and inventory control

    + Strong customer service and desktop support capabilities

    Preferred Experience:

    + Familiarity with Windows 7 and migration processes

    + Basic understanding of PC troubleshooting and support workflows

    + Ability to work independently and follow structured deployment procedures

    Qualifications:

    This is an excellent opportunity for someone with limited IT experience to gain hands-on exposure to enterprise deployments. Candidates should be comfortable with imaging, wiping, and configuring laptops in a fast-paced environment.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $20.00/hr.
