We have an immediate opening for a Digital Director, Public Affairs who will help lead digital strategies and execution across web, social, and executive channels. The role collaborates with Public Affairs peers (PR/Comms and Marketing), subject matter experts, and commercial teams to develop integrated marketing solutions in support of priority societal impact, public policy, and community engagement efforts. The role is responsible for crafting and executing a vision for earning trust through integrated, high-impact editorial, storytelling, and digital experiences that builds trust with policy insiders, government stakeholders, and influential audiences domestically and globally. The Digital Director must have a strategic mindset, fluency in digital platforms, and the ability to lead cross-functional teams through complex, high-visibility initiatives delivered by in-house and vendor/agency resources to deliver impact within an evolving public policy world. Responsibilities + Lead and manage a team of three digital SMEs responsible forchannel strategy, content and creative, and executive social media. + Effectively collaborate withPublic Affairs peers (PR/Comms and Marketing) to develop digital vision and strategies that build capabilities and capacity to deliver business and program objectives through owned channels including web, blog, brand social media, executive social media, newsletters, and Microsoft owned & operated channels. + Lead resource management, workflow development, and optimized processes to increase efficiency, scale impact, and drive innovation. + Budget and contract ownership of vendor partners responsible for content production, publishing, and day-to-day channel operations. + Align digital strategy with campaign priorities, audience insights, and CELA goals in partnership with Public Affairs leadership, marketing, and communications teams. + Oversee research and analytics to produce insights that guide strategic decisions, channel priorities, content and creative approaches, and team goals. + Own audience definitions, outreach and engagement strategies, targeting tactics, and developing and deploying a theory of change/influence. + Oversee development of measurement strategies andperformance monitoring tools to effectively manage executive and brand social, web and blog platforms, and strategic campaigns, helping produce insights and monthly/quarterly reporting. + Oversee an editorial calendar and ensure integration across digital channels. + Establish a rhythm of business with communications and marketing leads for a range of programs including sustainability, cybersecurity, human rights, AI for Good, governmentand global affairs, and more. + Ensure close partnership with CELA leadership to align social media content for key moments and campaigns. + Serve as the escalation point for reputational risk, crisis response, and sensitive content decisions across digital platforms in partnership with CELA, Public Affairs, and commercial marketing peers. + Advocate for digital excellence across the organization by staying ahead of platform trends, audience behaviors, and emerging content formats. + Embody our culture and values Qualifications Required** **Qualifications + Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, Economics, Public Relations, or related field AND 5+ years integrated marketing (e.g., digital, relationship, social media, campaign), event management, marketing strategy, business planning, marketing operations, or related work experience + OR equivalent experience. + 5 years' experience developing and executing multi-channel digital strategies across web and social platforms. Preferred Qualifications + Experience managing executive social media programs or high-profile accounts. + Strong analytical skills and experience using performance data coupled with strong instincts that inform strategies and optimization decisions to foster a culture of data-driven decision making. + Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with experience working across multi-functional internal and external teams and varying levels of experience. + Proven experience managing partnerships with C-suite, senior executives, and high-profile stakeholders. + Strategic mindset with a passion for audience engagement and continuous improvement. + Familiarity with content management systems, social media platforms, and publishing workflows. + Experience in public affairs, policy communications, or advocacy environments. + Understanding of accessibility standards, SEO, and digital UX best practices. + Passion for continuous learning in analytics, data science, and emerging technologies, including AI tooling. Integrated Marketing M5 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $130,900 - $251,900 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $165,600 - $272,300 per year. Certain roles may be eligible for benefits and other compensation.
