As a **Principal Product Manager, Workforce Intelligence** you will lead a team of product managers to define and deliver strategies that drive customer value and business impact. This role combines strategic vision with execution excellence—connecting market insights, customer needs, and technical feasibility to shape product roadmaps. You will foster collaboration across engineering, design, marketing, and business planning teams to deliver innovative solutions that meet customer expectations and advance Microsoft’s mission. Responsibilities + Guide teams to uncover emerging customer needs through research; analyze market trends, competitive landscape, and compliance requirements to inform strategy. + Define success criteria, OKRs, and KPIs for multiple feature areas; provide strategic direction for long-term investments; evaluate trade-offs; prioritize features; own and adapt roadmaps to align with organizational goals and evolving customer needs. + Partner with Design and Engineering to create integrated scenarios and feature sets; drive scenario walkthroughs and early adoption strategies; ensure security and compliance are embedded in design. + Collaborate with Product Marketing and Business Planning on release criteria, acquisition, retention, and monetization strategies; evangelize product vision through presentations, blogs, and industry events. + Monitor KPIs, engagement, usage, retention, NPS, and revenue to drive improvements; lead deprecation decisions and customer transition plans. + Model Microsoft leadership principles; define team objectives; enable success; invest in employee growth and development. + Shape organizational priorities; influence cross-functional stakeholders; foster a culture of innovation, accountability, and customer/business impact. + Embody our culture (https://careers.microsoft.com/v2/global/en/culture) and values (https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/about/corporate-values?SilentAuth=1&wa=wsignin1.0) Qualifications Required Qualifications: + Bachelor's Degree AND 8+ years experience in product/service/program management or software development + OR equivalent experience. + 1+ year of people management experience. Preferred Qualifications: + Bachelor's Degree AND 12+ years experience in product/service/program management or software development + OR equivalent experience. + 4+ years experience taking a product, feature, or experience to market (e.g., design, addressing product market fit, and launch, internal tool/framework). + 6+ years experience improving product metrics for a product, feature, or experience in a market (e.g., growing customer base, expanding customer usage, avoiding customer churn). + 6+ years experience disrupting a market for a product, feature, or experience (e.g., competitive disruption, taking the place of an established competing product). + 3+ year of people management experience. + Proven track record of taking products/features to market and improving product metrics. + Strong analytical, strategic thinking, and decision-making skills. + Executive presence with excellent communication and storytelling abilities. Product Management IC5 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $139,900 - $274,800 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $188,000 - $304,200 per year.
