Job Summary:
The Strategic Communication Specialist is the operational backbone of TEKsystems' Strategic Communication function. This role owns the systems, processes, and infrastructure that enable effective communication across the organization. The Specialist ensures communication projects move efficiently from strategy to execution, manages the team's operational calendar and technology platforms, and provides strategic coordination for organizational initiatives. This role involves content creation, but the emphasis is on orchestrating communication systems and processes that enable strategic execution across the organization.
Responsibilities
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:
_Communication Operations & Infrastructure_
• Own and optimize the day-to-day operations of the communication function, including management of the company intranet, administration of distribution lists, and partnership with IT to enhance virtual communication platforms
• Maintain and govern the organizational communication calendar, ensuring strategic alignment and preventing message overload
• Establish and refine communication processes that improve efficiency and effectiveness across the team
_Strategic Project Coordination_
• Lead communication projects frominceptionto completion, managing timelines, stakeholders, and deliverables to ensure alignment with strategic priorities
• Partner with functional and mid-level leaders to coordinate communication support for strategic business initiatives
• Track project status and proactivelyidentifyand resolve bottlenecks
_Event & Initiative Management_
• Coordinatelogisticsfor high-impact internal events, including Town Halls, leadership calls, and employee gatherings (virtual and in-person)
• Manage the operational execution of organizational-wide communication campaigns and change initiatives
• Collaborate with cross-functional partners to ensure seamless delivery of communication-dependent projects
_Content Support_
• Support the creation and distribution of communication materials when needed, including presentations, newsletters, and intranet content
• Ensure communication collateral aligns with brand standards and strategic messaging
Qualifications
Minimum Education & Experience:
•Bachelor's degree in Communications, Business Administration, Project Management, or related field
• 2-3 years of experience in communication operations, project management, or a related field
•Demonstratedability to manage complex projects with multiple stakeholders and competing deadlines
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
• Exceptional organizational skills with a systems-thinking mindset
• Strong project management capabilities and attention to process
• Ability to see the big picture while managing operational details
• Collaborative approach with strong interpersonal skills across all organizational levels
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and adaptability to learn new communication technologies
• Proactive problem-solver who anticipates needs and removes obstacles
• Thrives in fast-paced environments with shifting priorities

Compensation: $61,700 - $92,500 based on experience
Position will be onsite 3-4 days a week in our Hanover office.
