             Shift: Night Shift 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM Focus Area: GPU cluster deployments within MKE 03 and 04 Job Summary We are looking for an experienced Level 3 Data Center Technician to join our IT operations team. This role involves maintaining data center infrastructure, performing server and GPU installations, troubleshooting hardware issues, and ensuring consistent network availability. Key Responsibilities + Execute tasks typically assigned to Level 1 and Level 2 technicians as needed. + Install, inspect, and cable servers and switches according to wire maps and standards. + Perform component upgrades (NICs, drives, memory) and firmware updates. + Troubleshoot server issues, isolate faults, and replace defective parts. + Configure IP addresses and login credentials. + Support network administrators with server and switch issues, including cabling, optics, and hardware replacements. + Rack and stack equipment for remote configuration. + Deploy and configure GPUs, ensuring proper installation and functionality. + Perform break-fix tasks, including GPU troubleshooting and component replacement. + Provide advanced ticket resolution and technical support. + Act as a liaison between team members and management. + Manage team workload and prioritize tasks effectively. + Review and validate build documentation before project execution. + Oversee data center build activities and ensure alignment with operational standards. + Lead multiple projects simultaneously in a high-pressure environment. + Monitor deadlines and report progress to project managers. + Ensure compliance with safety protocols and data center procedures. Qualifications + High school diploma, GED, or equivalent. + Minimum 4 years of experience in a hyperscale data center environment. + Basic knowledge of server hardware and components. + Familiarity with standard office applications (Outlook, Excel, Word). + Ability to lift up to 35 pounds and safely climb ladders. + Comfortable wearing personal protective equipment and working on foot for extended periods. + Flexibility to work weekends and holidays as needed. Preferred Skills & Certifications + CompTIA A+, Server+, or equivalent experience. + CCENT or CCNA certification preferred. + MCP or MCSE certification preferred. + Experience with Windows OS. + Scripting knowledge (PowerShell, Python, Bash). + Structured cabling, rack & stack, fiber/optical testing experience. + Understanding of storage devices and network fundamentals (OSI Layers 1–3). + Experience with Copper and Fiber Optic cabling installation and termination. + Familiarity with ITIL Framework (ITSM, Change Management, Problem Management). + OSHA30 or higher certification. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
