* Manage the assets within the process areas of the Dry End of Paper Machine. This is to include the Steam System, Size Press Operation, Calendering Process, Coating Application, and the Winder/sorting section.

* Provide support to Paper Machine Superintendent, Operations Supervisor, and Shift Supervisors to ensure the daily and weekly needs of the department are being met.

* Must work with the OMC to coordinate daily maintenance and scheduled outage work both for all the dry end section.

* Makes sure that all positions on the machines are properly staffed and trained.

* Conducts workforce training and aids in the qualification process covering the operation and troubleshooting of the equipment in the dry end section.

* Assist in generating ideas for submitting information for the development of capital and performance excellence projects.

* Assist with maintaining the department operating budget by tracking and adhering to costs associated with scheduled repairs and ordering of materials in their area.

* Assist with ISO, Safety, and FM Global Audits and preparation to ensure compliance.

* Leading cost initiative projects in your area.

* Meeting housekeeping requirements in your area.

* Leading Six-Sigma projects as needed.

* Helps troubleshoot problems in the department as needed.

* Help oversee the daily product quality and production as well as long term improvements.

* Monitors and helps to enforce all safety policies.

* Fulfilling machine coverage/duty as needed. (weeknights/weekends)
