Job Title: Cable Technician – Data Center (Entry Level)

Duration: 6 Months (Contract-to-Hire)

Pay Rate: $23.00 – $30.00/hr (DOE)

Work Schedule: Monday–Friday, 10-hour shifts with optional Saturdays (50–60 hours/week)

Job Overview:

A leading technology integrator is seeking Entry-Level Cable Technicians to support a long-term project at a major data center on the west side of San Antonio. This is a great opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a high-demand field with potential for long-term employment.

Key Responsibilities:

+ Terminate jacks and RJ45 connectors

+ Install and dress Cat5/Cat6 copper and fiber cabling

+ Label and route cables according to standards

+ Build out telecommunications rooms

+ Work in confined spaces and on ladders up to 20 feet

+ Lift and move up to 50 lbs regularly

+ Maintain a clean, safe, and organized job site

+ Follow all safety and quality protocols

Required Skills & Experience:

+ Minimum 5 months of data center cabling experience

+ Ability to terminate jacks and RJ45s

+ Familiarity with color codes and cable standards

+ Strong communication skills and willingness to ask questions

+ Ability to work independently and as part of a team

+ High attention to detail and time management

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $30.00/hr.
