Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking **Staff Cyber Software Engineer** –16498. This position will be located in **Roy, Utah** and will support the Sentinel program. The Staff System Administrator is responsible for developing software for the Command & Launch (C&L) Software Team. Using DevOps and Agile methodologies you will be constantly optimizing systems and services for security, automation, and performance/availability, while ensuring solutions developed adhere and align to the baseline systems designs, configuration management, and architecture standards. You will work closely in a DevOps environment with the program personnel to ensure smooth execution of continuous integration and test. Develops advanced concepts, techniques, and standards. Develop new applications based on professional principles and theories. Demonstrates skill and ability to analyze and develop innovative solutions to complex problems. Able to communicate effectively at the highest levels. Viewed as expert in field within the corporation. Problem Solving Develops solutions to problems of unusual complexity which require a high degree of ingenuity, creativity, and innovativeness. Challenges are frequently unique and solutions may serve as precedent for future decisions. Discretion/Latitude Works under consultative direction toward long-range goals and objectives. Assignments are often self-initiated with considerable latitude for independent judgment. Virtually self-supervisory. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off. This role may offer a competitive relocation assistance package. Job Qualifications: • Staff Cyber Systems Engineer: 12 Years with Bachelor’s in relevant field of study, 10 Years with Masters, 08 Years with PhD or 04 additional years in lieu of a degree. • Must have an active U.S. Government DoD Secret security clearance at time of application, current and within scope, with an ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret clearance. • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Special Access Program (SAP) approval within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business need • DOD 8570 IAT Level II (Security + or higher). • Windows server management experience • Network and Cyber Requirements Systems Engineering • Strong Network Engineering background • Experience implementing government cyber security requirements, such as STIGs and RMF These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have: • Active DOD Top Secret Clearance with investigation within the last 6 years. Cisco CCNA, CCNP, or CCIE Certification. • Experience preforming operations in an agile framework (SAFe, Scrum,or Kanban). • Proficient in Linux and Red Hat Enterprise Linux • Windows AD, LDAP, VMware and knowledge of SAN storage systems • Experience with the creation and deployment of system images in a virtual environment \#Sentinelcyber Primary Level Salary Range: $162,500.00 - $243,700.00 The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
