Our client is seeking a **Food Safety & Quality Technician** to join our team and support the coordination, implementation, and maintenance of food safety and quality assurance programs at our Lewisburg, OH facility. In this role, you’ll play a key part in ensuring that all products meet internal standards, customer specifications, and regulatory requirements.
Located in Lewisburg, OH
6 month contract with extension
**Pay:** $24-28/hour
Key Responsibilities
+ Approve final production lots to ensure compliance with customer specifications and quality standards.
+ Conduct inspections and quality checks on in-process and finished goods.
+ Analyze data to identify trends in defects or non-conformities and assist in root cause analysis.
+ Support continuous improvement initiatives related to Food Safety, Quality, and Regulatory (FSQR) programs.
+ Assist in customer audits, corrective action plans, and follow-ups.
+ Help develop, schedule, and deliver food safety and quality training for site personnel.
+ Partner with internal teams to ensure new procedures and policies are implemented accurately and on time.
+ Maintain documentation and ensure site compliance with all applicable customer and government regulations.
Qualifications
+ Associate’s degree in Food Science, Biology, Chemistry, or related field **(or equivalent work experience).**
+ 1+ year of experience in food manufacturing, quality assurance, or food safety preferred.
+ Strong understanding of GMP, HACCP, and basic quality systems.
+ Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
+ Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
+ Proficiency with Microsoft Office and data entry tools.
