    GENERAL STATEMENT OF RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES:

    You are vital to the day-to-day operations of the Office of the Deputy Director for Collections and Administration and coordinate many aspects to assist in efficiently managing the office, which has a wide purview of both internal and external stakeholders for the museum. You provide support for the Head of Provenance, Curator at Large, and Associate Administrator. This role requires excellent interpersonal skills, and you must be organized, computer proficient, including Outlook calendar management, able to multi-task, meet deadlines, and resourcefully problem solve.

    PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES:

    + Provide administrative support for both the Head of Provenance and Curator at Large, including assisting with scheduling, filing, arranging travel, and submitting expense reports in addition to completing research requests

    + Provide administrative support to the Alexis Gregory Curatorial Practice program

    + Serve as Procurement Ambassador (create requisitions, manage payments, source equipment and supplies for Office of the Director & CEO and Office of the DDCA)

    + Serve as CLG Representative, overseeing the technology approval process and acting as liaison

    + Manage ICOM Card distribution for the museum, oversee renewals of institutional memberships

    + Provide logistical/planning support for departmental events

    + Other related administrative duties as assigned

    REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS:

    + Bachelor’s degree in Art History, Museum studies or related area preferred, or equivalent experience

    + 2-3 years working in an administrative capacity required, previous experience managing complex calendars preferred

    + Background in art history, art education, or art administration

    + Experience with Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, Photoshop, and Workday

    + Excellent written and verbal communication skills, interpersonal skills and organizational skills

    + Excellent organizational skills, including the ability to manage time and multitask

    + Excellent verbal and written communications skills

    + Upholds sensitive and confidential information with utmost discretion

    + Embraces role as a team player and builds collaborative relationships

    COMPENSATION RANGE:

    + Pay Range: $34.00 - $35.00 / Hourly

    Location Requirements

    At time of employment, employees are expected to be located within commuting distance of the Museum. “Commuting distance” means that they are located in one of following states: New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, or Pennsylvania (the “Tri-state and PA” areas), and be able to commute to and from the Museum in a single day.
