THE ROLE The Employee Relations Manager will be responsible for maintaining positive relationships between employees and the organization. Working closely with the HR Manager, they will handle and provide support for any workplace issues ensuring compliance with labor laws. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBLITIES + Conflict Resolution: Manage and resolve complex employee relations issues, providing guidance on policy interpretation and application to promote a positive work environment. + Union Experience: Manage grievances and communication with Union Reps, Stewards, etc. + Employee Support: Serve as a trusted advisor to both management and employees, addressing concerns and facilitating conflict resolution. + Policy Development: Assist in the development and implementation of personnel policies and procedures, ensuring they align with legal requirements and best practices. + Training and Development: Develop and deliver training programs for management and staff on effective communication, conflict resolution, and workplace policies. + Data Analysis: Analyze trends in employee relations data to recommend strategies for improving employee engagement and satisfaction. + Documentation: Maintain accurate and confidential records regarding employee relations matters, ensuring compliance with organizational policies. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with all Legends Global policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems. EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE + Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field + Master's degree or HR Certification (PHR/SPHR) preferred + 3 + Years of experience in high volume HR role preferred SKILLS AND ABILITIES + Proven experience in employee relations with a track record of resolving complex employee relations situations + Strong analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills are essential + Knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices
