DESCRIPTION OF WORK
In this position, you will receive both classroom and on-the-job training to care for our veteran residents. After completing an 8-hour online course, 16-hour classroom session, and an 80-hour orientation program, you will be eligible for promotion to a Nurse Aide position. While training, you will develop the knowledge, skills, and abilities to provide non-professional rehabilitative nursing care and treatment. These responsibilities will include distributing meals, transporting residents, and engaging in social activities. You will also be responsible for changing linens, cleaning medical equipment, and responding to requests for snacks and water. Additionally, you will contribute to residents’ Plans of Care by attending interdisciplinary team meetings to discuss treatment plans and develop individualized goals and methods.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
+ Full-time employment
+ Work hours are 2:45 PM to 11:15 PM, rotating schedule, with a 30-minute lunch. You will work every other weekend
+ Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.
+ Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

Legal Requirements:
+ A conditional offer of employment will require a medical examination.
+ This position falls under the provisions of the Child Protective Services Law.
+ Under the Law, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports including, but not limited to, PA State Police clearance, PA Child Abuse history clearance, and FBI Fingerprint clearance.
