Job Summary

EMCOR Facilities Services has an immediate opening for a Site Lead technician in Sarasota, FL. The Site Lead will report to the EMCOR Account Manager who will support this individual in providing quality workmanship and upholding high work standards to maintain a professional working environment.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

+ Communicate effectively with both on-site and remote clients to determine service needs. Responsible for hurricane preparations and reporting.

+ Coordinate, schedule, and supervise subcontractors while performing on-site services.

+ Work outdoors in high temperatures performing landscaping tasks, including mowing grass areas, maintaining access to well extraction sites, pond maintenance, trimming decorative grass, and controlling weeds on artificial turf areas.

+ Perform minor janitorial duties, including cleaning sinks, restroom fixtures, kitchen areas, and security areas daily.

+ Conduct general maintenance tasks, including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, furniture setup/moves, and general repairs.

+ Complete a wide variety of preventive and corrective maintenance work requests, such as pressure washing the perimeter wall, HVAC preventive maintenance, filter changes, and equipment repairs.

Qualifications

Education

+ High School Diploma required.

Business Experience

+ 5–7 years of experience in facility maintenance and leadership.

Licenses/Certifications

+ Valid U.S. driver’s license.

Language Skills

+ Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.

+ Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or associates.

Technical Qualifications & Skills

+ Ability to perform general maintenance tasks.

+ Ability to write routine reports and correspondence using basic computer skills, email, and internet.

+ Excellent customer service, leadership, and communication skills.

+ Basic knowledge of electrical, HVAC, plumbing, carpentry, and furniture repair.

+ Ability to follow instructions and complete a variety of assigned maintenance tasks.

+ Proficiency with CMMS work order systems, operational reporting, material research, and effective email communication.

+ Ability to operate various types of landscaping equipment.

+ Strong time management skills to coordinate and supervise client subcontractors, complete daily tasks, and respond to after-hours emergencies, as this facility operates 24/7.
