Location/Division Specific Information:
This role is in the Single Use Division and will be performed at our Logan, Utah location.
How You Will Make an Impact:
Production Manager will be the leader of a manufacturing value stream, driving the development and execution of processes that deliver the highest quality products to customers on time. As a part of Thermo Fisher Scientific you will play a key role in advancing this mission through operational excellence and customer-focused results.
A Day in the Life:
+ Lead all aspects of a single value stream within operations by leading day-to-day manufacturing activities.
+ Train, mentor, and coordinate operations team members to meet or exceed value stream standards and key performance indicators providing manufacturing mentorship and support throughout the organization.
+ Support established value stream goals and metrics, which support STRAP, AOP, HRR, and Quarterly Business Reviews.
+ Seek the highest level of compliance and efficiency within assigned value stream and serve as the responsible party for upholding compliance and regulatory standards.
+ Meet safety, quality, production, financial, and staffing goals and objectives within specified value stream.
+ Ensure team maintains consistent adherence to policies, procedures, instructions
+ Communicate openly, effectively, and honestly across all levels or the organization including subordinates, peers, and senior leadership ensuring alignment and mutual understanding.
+ Cultivate a positive perspective that inspires and energizes teams, driving top performance and resilience particularly during times of change and transformation.
+ Adaptive leadership presence. Provide dynamic support for a 3-shift operation by adjusting working hours as needed to effectively interact with all shifts.
+ Develop and lead an impactful team and create a culture of excellence. Instill dedication and accountability within the team.
+ Create routines to complete all people leader tasks in a timely manner such as PMDs, corrective action, career development, and timecard management
+ Lead team in following safety, GMP, and other regulatory requirements
Education:
Required: Bachelor’s degree in operations or related field
Experience:
+ 6-8 years manufacturing related experience & 4 years people leadership experience. OR
+ 4-6 years manufacturing related experience & 2 years people leadership experience & Bachelor’s degree
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
+ Data Collection & Cleansing – Capture, clean, and validate large, complex datasets to ensure accuracy and reliability of insights.
+ Consistent record in driving continuous improvement.
+ Ability to lead and influence cross functional teams and effective interpersonal skills.
+ Ability to prioritize and lead through complex processes/projects including new product introductions.
+ Ability to effectively present information to employees, top management, and public groups.
+ Ability to use software and customized programs to meet business needs.
+ Ability to mentor, train, empower, influence, and coach a team
+ Competency in using computers, Microsoft Office products, and inventory management systems
+ Strong verbal and written communication skills, attention to detail, and problem-solving abilities
+ Travel up to 25% of time.
