Join our Human Resources Operations team and gain hands-on experience supporting critical compliance and payroll functions at GE Appliances. We’re seeking a detail-oriented and motivated intern who enjoys problem-solving, process improvement, and learning in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. This role reports to the Senior Director, HR Operations, and will assist with day-to-day initiatives related to I-9 compliance, E-Verify, and payroll operations.

How You'll Create Possibilities
What You'll Do:
• Support I-9 & E-Verify process across all GE Appliances locations
• Conduct internal audits of employee I-9 and E-Verify forms to ensure compliance with federal regulations and take corrective actions as needed.
• With guidance, build knowledge as a subject matter resource in I-9 and E-Verify requirements
• Support payroll operations through processing benefit payments, reimbursements, and maintaining accurate employee records
• Analyze data, observe/document current processes and make recommendations for improvements
• Develop standard operating procedures (SOP)
• Participate in special projects that enhance compliance, efficiency, and employee experience
• Handle sensitive employee information with discretion and confidentiality

What You'll Bring to Our Team
Required Qualifications:
• Currently enrolled full-time in an accredited college/university, pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
• Ability to work 20–24 hours per week during the academic term and up to 30–40 hours per week during breaks
• Strong attention to detail, organizational, and analytical skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Demonstrated willingness to learn and take initiative in developing new skills
• Ability to manage confidential information with professionalism and integrity
• Legal Authorization to Work in the United States now and in the future

Desired Qualifications:
• Experience with web-based applications and HR information systems
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook)
• Strong customer service orientation and problem-solving skills
