Job Description Summary

The Security and Emergency Response Specialist is responsible for supporting the Security and Emergency Response teams and programs at GE Vernova and assisting the Site Security Leader. The Security and Emergency Response Specialist is responsible for developing policies & procedures, project management and ensuring compliance with governmental programs. The Security and Emergency Response Specialist also is responsible for assisting in daily security and life-safety concerns and requirements.

Job Description

Responsibilities

+ Develop and maintain protocols and procedures to protect personnel, assets, and facility.

+ Conduct investigations and prepare incident reports.

+ Assist in managing projects and personnel

+ Provide training to staff and personnel on site and develop training awareness guidance.

+ Collaborate with law enforcement and emergency responders.

+ Respond to emergencies and incidents.

+ Coordinate and participate in drills.

+ Provide oversight of service providers supporting security and life-safety infrastructure.

Qualifications

+ Associate degree in related field or High School/GED with minimum of 5 years of security, emergency response or other similar industry experience

+ Working knowledge of physical security (visitor management, access control, CCTV, and intrusion detection) and life-safety (fire protection and suppression systems)

+ Knowledge of regulations, laws, and standards applicable to physical security, life-safety, and emergency response

+ Strong understanding of security principles, life-safety laws, and regulations

+ Flexible with work hours and availability after hours and on weekends to responds to security-emergency related incident

+ Advanced computer skills (proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint)

+ Ability to obtain a government security clearance

Desired

+ Knowledge of Export Control, C-TPAT, FTZ and DHS requirements

+ Working knowledge for NYS Fire Codes, laws and regulations

+ Technical knowledge of security and life-safety platforms and infrastructure

+ Ability to work as a team and independently

+ Excellent written and verbal communication skills

+ Demonstrate integrity, respect, and inclusiveness

+ Highly motivated, positive and a team player

+ New York State Security Officer License

+ CPR and First Aid Certified

_Pay Transparency_

For U.S. based candidates only, for purposes of complying with U.S. pay transparency requirements, the base pay range for this position is $72,000.00 – 96,000.00 USD Annually. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set. This position is also eligible for a 10% performance bonus/variable incentive compensation/equity. ​This posting is expected to close on or after November 10, 2025.

*The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas.
