Production Manager

Job Summary:
The Production Manager serves as a frontline leader, responsible for overseeing daily operations across designated assembly areas. This role ensures that safety, quality, throughput, and workforce productivity targets are consistently met by effectively coordinating labor, materials, and equipment. The ideal candidate is hands-on, highly organized, and adept at developing team members and resolving issues in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This position reports directly to the SSTC Manufacturing Manager.
Responsibilities:
+ Drive production output to meet revenue and schedule targets.
+ Plan, schedule, and assign work to employees; monitor daily work schedules.
+ Manage staffing levels, shift planning, and overtime to meet production demands.
+ Provide feedback to Product Line management on workforce and production needs.
+ Ensure material readiness and coordinate with cross-functional teams to maintain production flow.
+ Provide necessary equipment and supplies to support efficient and safe operations.
+ Champion a strong safety culture; enforce PPE use and lead HSE initiatives.
+ Monitor and enforce compliance with manufacturing, quality, and HSE standards.
+ Oversee routine preventive maintenance to minimize downtime.
+ Implement and monitor key performance indicators for Production, Quality, and HSE teams.
+ Lead continuous improvement initiatives using LEAN principles and Manufacturing System tools.
+ Maintain 5S standards and ensure tool accountability.
+ Participate in CAPEX projects to support operational improvements.
+ Coach and develop supervisors and team leads through regular feedback and performance reviews.
+ Enable proper training and development for all employees.
+ Identify and act on opportunities for process improvement.
+ Perform other duties as assigned by the SSTC Manufacturing Manager.
Minimum Job Qualifications:
+ Bachelor’s degree preferred.
+ Proven experience leading teams in a manufacturing environment.
+ Strong working knowledge of ERP systems (e.g., SAP), Lean tools, and 5S methodology.
+ Demonstrated commitment to driving and communicating positive change.
+ Strong problem-solving skills and a continuous improvement mindset.
+ Proficient in Microsoft Office 365 applications, including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, and SharePoint.
+ Effective collaborator across cross-functional teams.
+ Ability to read, interpret, and follow written and verbal instructions; capable of clear and legible written communication.
+ Fluent in English, with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
+ Must be authorized to work in the United States without current or future visa sponsorship.
