Step into the action as our Retail Supervisor for Sea Life and Peppa Pig World of Play and be the magic behind the scenes! 🎡 You will lead the Retail Team on the front lines, ensuring every guest enjoys a safe, seamless, and unforgettable experience. You will provide hands-on, shoulder-to-shoulder leadership, guiding the team to deliver world-class service while keeping operations running efficiently.

You will also serve Duty Manager shifts on the floor, overseeing daily operations across all departments, setting the standard for health and safety, and providing on-the-spot guidance to ensure the magic never stops for guests and team members alike. ✨

Qualifications & Experience

Key Responsibilities:

+ Lead by example on the floor, setting the standard for excellence in assigned commercial areas.

+ Inspire the Retail Team to deliver world-class, guest-obsessed experiences while meeting or exceeding KPIs and Mystery Visit targets.

+ Support the training, development, and onboarding of team members for safe, efficient, and effective operations.

+ Assist the Retail Manager with labor schedules, merchandising, inventory control, and operational planning.

+ Maintain the highest standards of service, cleanliness, safety, and technical operation.

+ Serve as Duty Manager when required, confidently performing all roles in assigned areas.

+ Provide continuous mentorship, motivation, and real-time feedback to the Retail Team.

+ Handle operational challenges, including guest complaints, staffing coverage, and incentive programs to boost performance and teamwork.

+ Monitor visual appeal and effectiveness of all areas, making improvement recommendations to the GM.

+ Track and report key metrics, inventory levels, dwell time, and KPIs to support operational decisions.

+ Ensure compliance with company policies, HR guidance, and standard operating procedures, including stock take, inventory management, and record-keeping.

+ Foster a positive team culture, encouraging ideas, innovation, and demonstration of Merlin Values.

+ Lead daily shift briefings alongside the attraction Leadership Team.

+ Perform other duties as assigned to keep operations running smoothly and guests delighted.

Education and Experience:

+ **🎓** High school diploma or GED required; college degree is a plus.

+ 🎢 At least two years of supervisory experience in retail, visitor attractions, or similar environments with a proven ability to lead and inspire teams.

+ 🌟 Previous experience overseeing teams and developing talent is highly valued.

+ 💪 Strong people management and communication skills with the ability to motivate, coach, and serve as a positive role model.

+ 🛍️ Understanding of merchandising and retail operations, with experience executing inventories considered a bonus.

+ 💰 Excellent sales skills and attention to detail, with experience using computerized point-of-sale systems.

+ 🚀 Self-motivated and able to thrive in fast-paced, high-pressure environments while maintaining world-class guest service.

+ 🗂️ Proven ability to juggle multiple priorities and projects at the same time with confidence and efficiency.
