    JOB OVERVIEW

    MartinFederal is seeking a highly detailed and self-motivated Cybersecurity Intern at our Huntsville, AL location. The Cybersecurity Intern will support our Cybersecurity Team covering security engineering and Risk Management Framework (RMF) activities to include establishing, documenting, and monitoring cybersecurity programs and ensuring compliance with Federal and DoD cybersecurity policies and mandates.

     

    Candidate will gain industry experience and a working knowledge of cybersecurity policies and technical cybersecurity protection measures by working within a fast-paced, collaborative cybersecurity environment.

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

    + Support cybersecurity functional area teams during day-to-day mission. Areas include but are not limited to:

    + Security Engineering

    + Risk Management Framework

    + Penetration Testing

    + Compliance Review

    + Forensics

    + Malware Analysis

    + Software Development

    + Network Administration

    + Technical Documentation and Engagement Writeups

    QUALIFICATIONS

    + Bachelor's degree or pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Software Engineering.

    + Proficient with low-level programming languages to include at least one assembly language.

    + Understanding of cybersecurity activities.

    + Ability to apply academic knowledge real-world problems.

    + Exceptional time management and multitasking skills.

    + Detail-oriented and highly organized.

    + Ability to conduct research and analyze data.

    DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS

    + Knowledge of the NIST Risk Management Framework

    + CompTIA Security+ certification

    PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS & ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS

    + General office environment

    + The work area is adequately lighted, heated, and ventilated. Some walking, standing, bending, reaching, and carrying of light items such as papers and books.

    + Requires hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity sufficient to operate a keyboard, telephone, and other office equipment.

    + Fully vaccinated for COVID-19 or received approved exemption status.
