We’re seeking a Maintenance A Technician who’s ready to be part of a people-first company offering best-in-class products, exceptional training, and deep industry pride—all built to help our partners and team succeed. **Job Title:** Maintenance A Technician | **Req ID:** 15002 | **HR Contact:** Jonathan Stone **| Location:** Building Envelope - DeForest, WI ABOUT THE ROLE The Maintenance Technician position supports the plant by checking, inspecting, troubleshooting, repairing, replacing, and maintaining industrial manufacturing equipment. WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING + Perform periodic, scheduled inspections and checks of equipment to determine whether failures or issues are present and determine how soon the corrections/adjustments may need to be made. + Assemble and disassemble machines to make repairs, perform inspections, and replace with new items while maintaining safety and production goals in mind + Troubleshoot equipment to identify root cause(s) and suggest appropriate follow-up actions + Identify failed components and determine necessary replacement parts + Interact directly with production and other plant teammates in a professional manner + Utilize a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to receive work instructions, identify parts that belong to machines, and fully document work performed + Comply with all safety and environmental protocols relating to operations + Locate spare parts in the storeroom and follow stock check-out processes + Maintain a dedicated toolbox and shared maintenance tools and supplies in an organized manner so that materials can be accessed quickly and reliably + Demonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving, and adhering to health, safety, and environmental policies in all work environments and areas. Promote a culture of safety and exhibit these behaviors. WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR + Five or more years’ experience in an industrial environment as a maintenance employee performing Preventive (planned) and Corrective (unplanned) Maintenance + Knowledge of and experience working in all the following areas: + **Mechanical** ▪ Power Transmission – chains, belts, gearboxes, bearings, brakes, couplings, etc.▪ Lubrication – oils, greases, storage and handling, application, etc.▪ Hydraulics & Pneumatics – valves, actuators, compressors and pumps, piping and tubing, etc. + **Electrical** ▪ DC Circuits – relays, contactors, power supplies, etc.▪ AC Circuits (120V to 480V) – motors, drives, transformers, etc. + **Process Control** ▪ Industrial Automation – robotics, PID, machine control, etc.▪ PLCs & Networking – communication, signals, I/O, LANs, etc. + Associate's degree or 2+ years of vocational training + Experience with maintenance technologies such as Vibration Analysis, Thermography, Ultrasound Inspection, Oil Analysis, and Precision Alignment + Certifications in mechanical/industrial fields (electrician, millwright, welding, etc.) + Certified Maintenance and Reliability Technician (CMRT) + Experience with maintenance technologies such as Vibration Analysis, Thermography, Ultrasound Inspection, Oil Analysis, and Precision Alignment + Certifications in mechanical/industrial fields (electrician, millwright, welding, etc.) + Certified Maintenance and Reliability Technician (CMRT) Working Conditions The working conditions include an indoor, dusty, non-temperature-controlled, industrial manufacturing and warehouse environment. Subject to varying cold and hot temperatures and occasional outdoor activities in hot or adverse weather.
