• Compactor Repair Technician

    WIN Waste Innovations (New Bedford, MA)


    WIN Waste Innovations is looking for a Compactor Repair Technician.

    Job Responsibilities:

    + Compactor repair and diagnosis -on the road and in the shop

    + Pre trip and maintain service truck integrity -communicate defects to shop via dvir daily

    + Must be safety conscious and follow all our procedures for lock out tag out - High risk for incident

    + Must have complete working knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, electrical components. Not limited to, but primarily, Self-Contained VIP, Mini Mac .

    + Maintain positive work environment by acting and communicating in a manner so that you get along with customers, clients, vendors, co-workers and management.

    Requirements:

    + Ability to work an average of 45 hours a week. Monday-Friday and rotating Saturdays

    + Must have Knowledge of high voltage - 208v, 460/480v, & 120v (low)

    + Certification for electric, or compactor repair CERT a major plus

    + Welding/fabrication experience, a major plus

    + Must have clean Driving license & DOT permit 26,000 and under.

    + Must possess ability to weld mild steel, Stick (electrode) Metal Inert Gas (MIG) and also use oxygen acetylene torch.

    + Ability to read electronic diagram, a plus

    Working Conditions & Physical Effort:

    + Strenuous physical work, to include heavy lifting, pushing, or pulling

    + Ability to adapt to a wide variety of environments to complete work assignments

    + Ability to lift up to 50 pounds

    + Ability to maintain and supply own personal tools needed to perform essential duties

    + This position is a mobile position and shop.
