Job Overview
Here at Fairview, we are now seeking an MRI Technologist to join our team at our University of MN Medical Center - West Bank location in Minneapolis, MN! This is a 1.0 FTE (80 hours per 2 weeks) position that will work Monday through Friday from 7:30AM - 4PM with weekends as needed.
The MRI Technologist functions independently based on the boundaries of professional practice in performing all major work responsibilities. The Technologist provides services to patients and physicians through the creation of high-quality diagnostic imaging, provides quality age-appropriate patient care according to established standards of practice, and works collaboratively with all members of the health care team. The technologist is responsible for performing these responsibilities in accordance with all policy, procedures, and regulatory agency requirements (ARRT).
Responsibilities
+ Maintains and prioritizes work to achieve optimal patient outcomes
+ Performs individualized, compassionate patient care
+ Communicate with and educate patient regarding pertinent information during all aspects of exam
+ Achieves quality diagnostic images through correct patient positioning and use of technical factors according to protocol
+ Applies established professional guidelines and standards to complex, routine, and non-routine diagnostic testing procedures
+ This position may include lead responsibilities. Additional compensation would apply when these duties are assigned.
Required Qualifications
+ Technical Certificate or Associate of Science in Radiology
+ ARRT Radiology Tech
+ Basic Life Support (American Heart Assoc or Red Cross)
Preferred Qualifications
+ Previous healthcare experience
+ Previous cMRI experience
+ 1 year experience in a related role
+ Additional certifications in Imaging
+ ARRT MRI certification or successful completion within 1-1/2 Yrs
+ Strong interpersonal skills
